A Eulogy for a Private Man
January 13, 2010 7:59 am ReferenceNo one liked the man that much. I think it was because they did not truly know him or understand what drove him so constantly. But I knew him. He was my father, and he was a good man living a difficult life in an unforgiving world. As I gave one of the eulogies at his funeral, I tried to make him seem more human to those who barely knew him. I wanted them to know that he was a man who laughed and cried and sometimes just wanted to give everything away. He really was an amazing person. I only regret that so few of us really knew that.
