Be Careful With Low-Ball Offers In A Declining Housing Market

When the housing market is in a slump many home buyers see it as an opportunity to pick up some real estate at a discount. This often leads them to thinking that most sellers are more desperate to sell their house then they actually are. As such they tend to present a bunch of low-ball offers in the hopes that they can get the property at a huge discount. The problem with this line of thinking is that is can often do more harm than good. In fact buyers could end up paying more than they need to. A seller receiving this type of offer could sign it back at a higher price then they otherwise might if they had received a more reasonable offer.
