We Saved Money On Our Home Remodel Project

We decided to take half of our over sized garage and turn it into a rec room. The design was simple so we could handle the home remodel without calling in too many experts. We did hire an electrician and a pro to lay the ceramic flooring. My friends helped me with the cutting, measuring, hauling, holding and grumbling until we had the project complete. Would I do it again? You bet. I think we  were smart to hire experts where expertise was needed and use the talents of my friends for the work that could be done at my own pace. We all learned as we went along and there was very little wasted money in the project.
