Teen Safe Driving Shouldn’t Make You An Ogre
February 28, 2010 2:16 pm Health and FitnessJust because you have a concern over teen safe driving doesn’t mean you have to be an “ogre.” You want to keep your kids safe when they go out driving. But you know yelling, pleading or cajoling them doesn’t help.
What can you do?
There are actually several systems you can install on your child’s car (or your own car) to monitor their driving habits and know exactly what they are doing behind the wheel.
Some are a bit draconian, using “in the car” cameras to watch them driving. Not a good idea if you want to have a good relationship with your teen.
Some install into the computer system in the form of a chip. However, those run the risk of messing with the car’s computer system and if that gets messed up, you better have a lot of money set aside for repairs.
The third type of system simply attaches to the face of the speedometer and monitors speed, acceleration, RPMs, and can actually sound an alarm if the driver exceeds a preset speed. What’s more, you can download the information into your computer to review it at your leisure.
Lastly, it will tell you if it’s been removed or tampered with. This is teen safe driving at it’s best. Follow the link to learn more…
