It was really interesting – I hate in modern painting how you see some red and blue splotches on a canvas and people are like, “Oh, it MEANS SO MUCH.” No it doesn’t. Give me something that’s beautiful and moving any day, and I like it even more if there’s more layers to it than meets the eye. I’m often asked by actors and presenters if there is a secret to a great headshot, especially as many of those guys have had headshots done in the past that simply haven’t captured any sparkle or any of their personality.

I recently purchased a digital photo printer to make my own prints.  This is the same printer most of the wedding photographers in Chicago use for their custom prints.  I must say, the quality is really great and owning your own printer is the way to go.  Even though uploading images to a printing company can be convenient, most of the time, large files and large quantities of images take forever to send.  Burning a CD cost money as does driving to a photo lab so there is some trade off in costs.  The best part though is be able to ccreate a print any time I want and put it in a frame.

Decoupage for Sleep Over

I recently picked up an instructional DVD on 3D Decoupage at my local craft supply store and have been watching it over the last few days. I am absolutely enthralled with it and can’t wait to try out some of the techniques. On Friday, my daughter is having three of her best friends over for a sleep over and to ensure that they stay good and don’t get bored, I am planning a craft project for them to do and the 3D Decoupage will be perfect for the project. I have already collected some materials from the craft supply store and I am hoping that my daughter and her friends will have a great time putting the craft project together.

Jazz Puts Me In The Right Frame Of Mind

I have a long commute to and from work, and sometimes when I get home I feel very tense. I was starting to get headaches, so I began carpooling with another guy from work. The first time that he drove, he was listening to this mellow music, and when I asked him what it was he said that it was jazz. By the time I got to work, I felt relaxed and ready for the day. Singing lessons on DVD would be good for me because I need something to help my singing skills.  There is no way I’m going to pay an expensive coach because there are less expensive ways to learn singing.  I’ve noticed a ton of courses being marketed by famous coaches.  I’ve discussed the subject with many others.  There are some quality Courses, which show you how to sing low notes and hold notes longer.  Just these basic types of lessons can help me if I practice them at home on a consistent basis.  The program must be well known and used by many.
