Loving Gifts for an Eight Year old

I know I shouldn’t laugh, but it was funny when my 8 year old son asked me to go shopping with him to pick out romantic gifts for his girlfriend. One has to wonder what kind of gifts an eight year old gives in this day and age. Hey, I didn’t even know the imp had a girlfriend, much less that he needed to buy her gifts at Valentine’s Day. I suggested some of those candy hearts with the “I heart you” messages on them. He rolled his eyes at that suggestion. I moved on to a box of chocolates, but that didn’t pass muster.
